We are currently seeking a highly motivated Construction Superintendent located in Jacksonville, FL.
Overview:
- Keep Projects on Track - Support field leadership team (Superintendents) in maintaining budgets, tracking costs, processing billing, and identifying scope changes to ensure schedule and financial performance.
- Stay Ahead of the Schedule - Help manage site logistics, support subcontractor orientations, and ensure schedules align with quality, safety, and sustainability goals.
- Run the Details -Take ownership of documentation: submittals, RFIs, change tracking, quality checks, and project close-out.
- Represent the Best - Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, always representing our company's values and commitment to excellence.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Certifications/Licenses:
- CPR/AED certificate
- OSHA 30
Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities:
- 5 - 10 years of experience in commercial or government construction, ideally on large capital programs over 100M in construction value.
- Familiarity with construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and document management.
- Experience with project manager software (ProCore, Bluebeam, etc.)
- A drive to learn, grow, and make an impact in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Must be able to pass a Federal Background Check
- Must have a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large Capital Programs. Aviation preferred.
- Experience working at an Operating Airport
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, establish, and maintain an effective working relationship with all personnel on site.
- Civil and Interior experience, steel and must be wiling to work nights
- Have a thorough and complete understanding of the general contract and each subcontract, their specific scope of work, the contract drawings, specifications, and addenda; and to assist the Project Manager in the implementation of on-site procedures.
- Review the contract drawings, specifications, addenda and bulletins for design deficiencies, impractical details, and constructability issues, and bring these to the attention of the Project Manager who will review them with the Architect.
- Assist the Project Manager in the development, refinement, and updating of the project schedule.
- Plan and review the construction program with the Project Manager including quality control procedures, safety, cleanliness, security practices, field office location and layout, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment, and manpower.
- Coordinate, direct, monitor, inspect and record the activities of the Subcontractors, Suppliers, and labor/material.
- Verify that all required permits or licenses have been obtained, and that a weatherproof bulletin board is installed on which all required safety notices are posted.
- Cooperate with and direct the activities of the inspection agencies, including remedial actions communicated by the agencies.
- Lead weekly coordination and safety meetings with Subcontractors.
- Receive and review the Subcontractor's daily reports of work completed and labor and materials.
- Order and coordinate material deliveries to the job site.
Salary:
- $125,000/yr.
Bonus Pay:
A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at management's discretion.
