Summary:

This is a salaried exempt position that oversees the Residential Solar Install team, Commercial Solar Team, Electrical teams, and Service team, including their respective superintendents. This role ensures crews complete jobs on time or address other field issues that arise.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all your crews are up to date on their certifications for all products offered.
  • Manage certifications and coordinate training for new product offerings.
  • Ensure field teams attend the safety meetings once a month with the Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols. Review these practices with your Superintendents and confirm all team members have the necessary safety gear on their bodies and in their trucks.
  • Work with field teams to provide all equipment necessary for the work trucks.
  • Responsible for answering incoming emails and calls from customers and team members, directing them to the appropriate person or department. Primary point of contact for customer relations and issues.
  • Manage employee relations issues, project related problems, and time & attendance with scheduling.
  • Plan and execute effective monthly Production Meetings.
  • Responsible for tracking residential, commercial, and ESS project progress to ensure goals are met, budgets are adhered to, project timelines are met, and accuracy is maintained.
  • Conduct job reviews for new projects and identify any potential issues that can arise and were not foreseen at the bid to help continue coaching sales/estimating teams.
  • Review produced plans before they move to permitting and material ordering. Provide necessary feedback to the team.
  • Review installations post-installation to ensure they match the plans. Discuss any discrepancies with the team.
  • Meet with general contractors, commercial project managers, and program representatives to ensure project alignment and smooth execution.
  • Oversee material lists/workups for commercial, residential, and Tesla tile projects, ensuring availability of products before approving jobs into production.
  • Review purchase orders against the budget to ensure accuracy and prevent overspending. Initiate Change Orders as necessary.
  • Schedule and reschedule all installs (Electrical, Residential and Commercial Solar). Work with Superintendents and Foremen to estimate start and completion dates and update customers of changes.
  • Collaborate with the roong department to coordinate special roong-related tasks such as FastJack installation, remove and reinstall (R&R) projects, and "above and beyond" (A&B) jobs that require additional coordination.
  • Manage weekly Billing & Financial Tracking (Contract Review, Reporting, Service Billing, Change Orders).
  • Meet with vendors to discuss product needs, future orders, and potential new product integrations.
  • Assist with tracking inventory, ensuring modules and other products are available by working with Greentech/CED in collaboration with the Sales Manager.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist team members with company provided phones. Coordinate with HR/IT for phone-related issues. Verify correct software on their computers, correct apps on their phone, laptop provided, etc.
  • Conduct one-on-ones, annual reviews, and performance improvement plans.
  • Meet with HR for recruitment, terminations, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and discipline.
  • Offer support and coaching to train team members. Plan and execute annual team building events.
  • Provide team updates, reminders on meetings/events, and other important announcements.
  • Employee recognition and award achievement certificates at company events/meetings.
  • Attend strategic meetings, planning sessions, and Total Quality Management (TQM) reviews meetings.
  • Manage department KPI’s and update dashboards weekly.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or four or more years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid CA Driver's License.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, & Google Workspace.
  • Scoop CRM and/or Sage 100 Contractor experience a plus.
