Job Summary:
This position is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and finishing operations.
Pay: $22.00 $25.00 per hour
Shift: 7:00 PM 5:00 AM
Schedule: Monday - Friday with weekends as needed
Roles and Responsibilities:
Set up and operate welding equipment as well as various power and hand tools
Monitor welding, burning, and fitting processes to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
Perform daily preventative maintenance on welding tools and equipment as required
Ensure the overall quality of welding work, including distortion and dimensional control, and take corrective actions as needed
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently to accomplish job results
Contribute to team efforts by training others in welding tasks as needed
Inspect all work to ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it to the next operation
Document actions by completing production and quality forms
Minimum Requirements:
13+ years of experience in MIG and/or TIG welding
Ability to read blueprints and follow specific written instructions and procedures
Basic understanding of mathematics as it relates to welding assignments
Strong sense of urgency, initiative, and problem-solving skills
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended period
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
