General Laborer Job Description We are seeking dedicated General Laborers for a first shift contract role, which is expected to last six months. Depending on workload, there is a potential for the position to become permanent. Candidates must be comfortable with the contract arrangement. Responsibilities Set up materials in concrete. Pull out finished products using a crane. Operate a forklift if the opportunity arises, though it is unlikely during the contract period. Essential Skills Experience in general labor. Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to turn a wrench. Capability to lift 40 lbs consistently. Ability to work autonomously. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience is a plus. The current schedule is Tuesday to Friday, 10-hour shifts from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, transitioning back to Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm within the next month. Saturdays are rare but could be offered depending on demand. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Avon, Connecticut. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
