We have an outstanding career opportunity for aDrafterto join a leading Company located in the Lowell, AR surrounding area.

The Drafter 3 position is directly responsible for creating metal building drawings and material parts lists for Pre-Engineered Metal Building projects. The Drafter III position acts as the checker for Drafter I and Drafter II for projects prior of release to fabrication. This position is qualified to lead projects and assist the Team lead to ensure quality output is maintained.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Designs and details of Mini Storage / Pre-Engineered Metal Building projects for customers and company using MBS, AutoCAD, TEKLA, or other computer-aided drafting technology.

+ Interprets construction drawings and specifications as well as verbal instructions.

+ Provides sales with the necessary building design details to meet customer requests.

+ Able to meet multiple project deadlines while providing accurate project deliverables.

+ Assist in scheduling projects to other team members and ensure scheduling for projects are communicated to all team member .

+ Participate in PR-schedule process with sales team and management team.

+ Provides accurate redlined revisions to drawings and material parts lists.

+ Able to learn and use other software for miscellaneous projects ( ex: plant engineering, marketing, product design, or installation guides)

+ Interacts with internal and external customers to clarify project scope, details, and product limitations.

+ Communicate with internal customers regarding requests for project information, status, and schedule .

+ Assist in administration functions such as plotting, binding, and mailing drawings as required.

+ Apply necessary coordination for outsourced detailing projects (assemble, send, check, finalize) for pre-engineered metal buildings.

+ Maintaining MBS for accurate price, design, and detail; ensuring efficient system processes and accuracy of output

+ Focus on achieving department objectives and profitability goals and continuous improvement as part of a high-performance work team

Basic Hiring Criteria

+ Two-year degree in a related field, with certification in AutoCAD, or equivalent experience.

+ Previous experience with the metal building industry, with experience in bills of materials and installation drawings.

+ Ability to successfully produce drawings and accurate material parts lists to support the sales and installation of our metal building products.

+ Proficient in AutoCAD or comparable design software.

+ Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks.

+ Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and display exceptional customer service.

+ Ability to perform communication and tracking reports on Microsoft Office or other ERP systems.

+ Ability to work within a cooperative team environment as well as perform assignments autonomously.

Desired Qualifications:

+ 2-4 years' experience with AutoCAD software is preferred.

+ 1-2 years' Experience in MBS and TEKLA software is preferred.
