The duties and responsibilities of the Utility Operator include, but are not limited to:

Makes general repairs to equipment, as required

Performs routine maintenance on equipment, as required

Welds and fabricates parts as needed to facilitate repairs

Completes all required documentation of service work performed

Fills in for the Plant Operator or Loader Operator when regular staff are out

Follows all company policies and procedures in accordance with guidelines established by Arcosa management

Ensure that all work activities are conducted in a safe manner

Other duties/responsibilities that may be assigned by the Plant General Manager from time to time

Knows and understand aggregate recycling operations

Understands what it takes for a customer-oriented business to be successful and what it takes to provide the products/services necessary to meet the customers' needs on a timely basis

Has the ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing at all levels of the organization

Able to read and understand basic reports, and complete routine mathematics

Has working knowledge of various types of welding processes (sheet metal, ironwork etc.)

Has the ability to lift fifty (50) lbs. pounds with regularity and up to seventy-five (75) pounds in some cases

Has a complete understanding of the workings of equipment used by the company

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $32.91 to $34.99 per hour. The midpoint is $33.95 per hour, which corresponds with the published pay rate. The pay rate offered will be determined by the applicant's experience, skills, and abilities.
