Operator/Laborer

The Weston Special Road District wishes to hire an individual that has knowledge of the operations of a road grader, backhoe, dump truck, snow plow and a mower.Skills and knowledge of how to remove debris from right-of-ways.Skills and knowledge of how to spread gravel from a dump truck.Mechanical skills and knowledge on how to do basic maintenance on equipment.Knowledge of tools related to road and shop work.Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.Ability to maintain acceptable work attendance and arrive according to scheduled workdays.Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas, and techniques. Work requires requires prolonged standing,physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials (over 50lbs),stooping, bending, and reaching,the ability to work in variable weather conditions. and constists ofa lot of driving time.
