To qualify for this position you must have connections with architects, home builders and be involved with the home building community in Kansas and across the state. This position will be tasked with getting in front of large and small volume builders in the Wichita market to deliver the Pella of Kansas message. The mission is to elevate the Pella image and reputation in the Wichita market while informing customers and prospects of our value-add services. This will entail a thorough analysis of all active customers and prospects in the Wichita market while determining the best way to earn their business. Working with the sales and management team working to develop long-term relationships with Builders and Contractors is a key ingredient to the success of this position. Responsibilities

+ Actively pursue target prospects and customers by building relationships through: networking, office calls, lunch and learns, showroom tours, CEU courses, jobsite visits, sales rep ride alongs and any other form of communication required to capture their attention. All in an effort to drive increased awareness of Pella of Kansas and the products and services we offer.

+ Plan days and weeks in advance to ensure cadence is intentional, deliberate, unique and memorable.

+ Learn the product lines, quoting software and value-add services. Must be professionally curious and be able to learn independently. To be successful in this position the candidate much master their craft.

+ Utilization of the new Pella Wichita facility for customer tours and events.

+ Weekly meetings with the Wichita outside sales reps to ensure were taking our prospect customers down the correct path to earn their business. Challenge the team with new ideas and ways to get a prospects attention.

+ Work directly with 10-15 target prospects working to pair them up with an outside rep.

+ Deliver the message to the building community that Pella of Kansas is a construction partner to them offering professional install, not just a product supplier.

+ Fully understand the Wichita market by undergoing a full competitor supplier analysis.

+ Continued education meetings with Wichita reps on a monthly basis to concentrate on product application, mulling capabilities, competitor analysis, etc.

+ Meetings with architects in an effort to educate them on current products and product applications. This can be accomplished via office visits or administering CEU courses.

+ Quarterly e-mail blast to all prospect customers in the Wichita area. To include promotions, new product updates, installation benefits, etc.

+ Logging of customer interactions in Salesforce in an effort to measure effectiveness of the Building Development Specialist role.

+ Regimented contact with existing purchasing customers to ensure customer retention.

+ Represent Pella at company sponsored events, professional group meetings and home shows.

+ Attend team meetings and conference calls.

+ Any additional duties assigned by Pella of Kansas management.

Minimum Qualifications

+ 5+ years outside and/or business to business sales experience.

+ Self motivated, goal oriented with a strong desire to succeed.

+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.

+ Four-year college degree is preferred.

+ Building/contractor knowledge a must.

+ Excellent organizational, social, and customer focus skills.

+ Outgoing and highly motivated personality.

+ Work with little supervision .
