Welder**
**Job Description**
This position is for a MIG welder in a manufacturing company located in South Bend. The role involves welding various components for structures, including floors and side panels, as well as welding different beams such as I-beams and channels.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform welding on various structural components including floor and side panels.
+ Weld different beams and channels using MIG welding techniques.
+ Retrieve materials from designated locations using an overhead crane.
+ Follow blueprints to fit materials in appropriate locations.
+ Conduct TAC MIG welds to secure materials in place.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5 years of experience in MIG welding on steel and TAC welding on steel.
+ Ability to read blueprints and tape measures to 1/16 inch.
+ Own a weld helmet and steel toe shoes.
+ Pass a basic weld test performing a butt-joint weld.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Welding certifications
+ Experience with flux core and stick welding
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and tape measures
+ Familiarity with structural steel and sheet metal fabrication
