Essential Functions:

Performs carpentry work in the construction, repair, and maintenance of structures, equipment, props and fencingExamples of Work:

UNDER GENERAL SUPERVISION
Estimates costs for building and repairing wood structures
Repairs door locks and door checks and replaces broken or worn parts
Performs hand bench work, using hand and radial saws, planes, wood lathes, drill presses, boring machines and electrical drills
Leads laborers in general construction work when necessary
Performs general carpentry work in the alteration, repair of windows, doors, floors, ramps, stairs, fences and props
Builds, installs, removes and repairs wooden structures or structural parts
Maintains records of carpentry repairs
Performs related workPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds
Lifts and carries items weighing over 50 pounds in a team setting

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program
Carpentry

Two years of carpentry experience

Other Minimums:

Must wear safety equipment as mandated by OSHA
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

Equivalency:

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
