Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support our project management team in executing and coordinating construction projects. This role serves as a key link between field operations and office functions, ensuring effective communication, documentation, and project execution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in daily project administration and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including procurement logs, submittals, purchase orders, and correspondence.
  • Track project financials, including receivables, billings, and commitments.
  • Manage and update drawings, specifications, RFIs, and change orders to ensure scope clarity.
  • Monitor project schedules and compare actual performance against budgeted targets.
  • Oversee QA/QC compliance and maintain document control systems.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, daily reports, and close-out documentation.
  • Identify and communicate potential scope or contract changes.
  • Assist in pricing changes and preparing client submissions.
  • Proactively address project issues and support resolution efforts.
  • Provide updates on budgeting, scheduling, and scope changes throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • 35 years of experience in electrical construction.
  • Proficient in managing RFIs, change orders, submittals, and billing.
  • Strong understanding of construction management, particularly in electrical and utility sectors.
  • Experience with substation construction and utility projects is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Initial assignment in Medway, MA (MonFri, 8 AM5 PM), with potential relocation to Cambridge, MA.
  • Includes occasional site visits to substation projects.
  • Company-provided desk, laptop, phone, and PPE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $57.00/hr.
