Madden Industrial Craftsmen is currently seeking skilled TIG & MIG certified welders to join our clients dynamic team in Portland, Oregon. *Rate of Pay: $25.00-$27.00 DOE
*Schedule: Monday Thursday 6am-4:30pm 4/10s with 3 days off
TIG Welder Responsibilities:
Perform Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and MIG welding operations on various materials, with a primary focus on aluminum welding.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications to ensure accurate execution of welding tasks.
Prepare workpieces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and fitting components as necessary.
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding techniques to achieve high-quality welds.
Maintain welding equipment and perform routine inspections to ensure proper functioning.
Inspect finished welds to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Perform visual and die penetrant tests to ensure the integrity of welds.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and production targets.
TIG Welder Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in TIG and MIG welding, with a focus on aluminum welding. Recent experience highly preferred.
TIG Qualified up to 3/8-inch-thick aluminum welding.
AWS D1.1 Certification.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and welding specifications.
Capability to pass visual and die penetrant tests to ensure weld quality.
Familiarity with welding equipment setup and maintenance.
Union membership or willingness to join the union (if applicable).
