Substation Engineering Co.| Reading, PA | Structural Engineer
Work to be performed under the supervision of licensed professional engineer, to include:
Responsible for structural engineering & design activities for high voltage substations, including structural analysis, calculations, reports, & defining construction methods/specifications. Perform preliminary design of reinforced concrete foundations & metal substation structures. Collect & manage data. Prepare drawings. Monitor construction to ensure conformance to design specifications.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Plus 3 years' post-baccalaureate experience in a Structural or Civil Engineering, or Structural or Civil Designer role, creating structural designs, specifications & calculations for engineering activities; 1 year of experience in a Structural Engineering role working with the design of structural components of substation projects, including steel and concrete support structures; Knowledge of: MathCAD, RISA, STADD, L-Pile.
All applicants must be willing to travel domestically up to 10% of schedule.
