TIG Welder**

**Job Description**

The TIG Welder is responsible for the operation and set-up of TIG welding equipment to weld parts according to specifications and standard operating procedures.

**Responsibilities**

+ Set-up and operate TIG welding equipment and fixtures, troubleshoot, and make necessary adjustments.

+ Assemble weldments using TIG welding equipment.

+ Perform secondary welding processes, including polishing, grinding metal to achieve proper surfacing, weld cleaning, and sandblasting.

+ Handle and position piece parts with or without fixtures, select proper Tungsten and temperature for each job.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, including material gauge and tolerances.

+ Develop and maintain fixtures and shadowboxing.

+ Work with floor leader to ensure quality control on piece parts and adhere to standard operating procedures.

+ Use measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers.

+ Perform first/last article quality checks and inspect parts for accuracy.

**Essential Skills**

+ 1 to 4 or more years of experience in a metal manufacturing environment as a TIG Welder.

+ 2 or more years of experience with fabricating.

+ Ability to differentiate colors.

+ Proficiency in using basic hand tools.

+ Skilled in using calipers and squares.

+ Ability to read engineering blueprints and bills of materials.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $23.98 - $24.98/hr.
