ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Employee works from a production schedule located within the work area. 2. Randomly checks product produced every hour, to ensure the customer specifications are met. 3. Monitors flow of product into processing machinery. 4. Tends machines, such as palletizers, case packers, injection machines and box machine to maintain product flow. 5. Works at different work stations as production needs require. 6. Works on lines where tasks vary, as product of various shapes and sizes move along lines. 7. Check finished product for possible defects. 8. Wears all required personal protective equipment. 9. Assures and participates in all plant safety/accident prevention policies. This includes maintaining a safe work environment and follows safe work practices. 10. Maintains housekeeping of work areas. 11. Follow all HACCP, GMP and Product Safety rules and guidelines. 12. Train current and new members of the department to perform job related tasks as needed. 13. Learn new on the job skills as training opportunities become available. 14. Any other tasks that may be assigned. 15. Must attend monthly shift meetings 6am for day shift or 6pm for night shift. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While the employee is performing the duties of this position that employee must be able to manipulate product with both hands, both above and below shoulder height. The employee must be able to stand on a solid surface for a minimum of twelve (12) hours. The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs and ladders. The employee must be able to frequently lift and /or move up to fifty (50) pounds. The employee must be able to demonstrate repetitive motion with a pallet jack and push/pull up to seven hundred (700) pounds throughout the day (12 hour shift). Specific vision abilities required by this position include close visual inspection of product. The employee must be to perform job functions in temperatures of one hundred plus degrees during summer season and fifty degrees during winter season. TRAINING 1. Lock Out / Tag Out 2.
