As a Senior Water Resource Engineer / Floodplain Specialist, you'll lead and support a wide variety of floodplain and water resource engineering efforts. You'll work closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality project deliverybalancing technical expertise with exceptional service.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and support hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for floodplain evaluations (e.g., LOMR, LOMR-F, LOMA, CLOMR), including no-rise certifications
Prepare and submit elevation certificates and floodplain documentation
Draft technical reports and regulatory applications in compliance with FEMA and local jurisdictions
Assist with wetland delineations, mitigation designs, and 404 permitting
Conduct watershed and infrastructure assessments for planning and design
Develop stormwater design criteria and produce related calculations and drainage reports
Oversee field data collection and performance monitoring of drainage systems
Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to deliver coordinated project outcomes
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff
Support additional civil engineering tasks as needed
