Maintenance- Electrician/Plumber

North Scott Community School District is currently seeking a Maintenance- Electrician/Plumber.

• The ideal candidate will have a valid license in one of the following trades: HVAC Mechanic, Electrician, or Plumber. (The license is not required to apply for the position)
• High School Diploma
• Background in supervision
• Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in electrical repair, environment control, maintenance, and plumbing.

The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of all school district properties, special projects, and on-call as needed.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Industrial Arts machine and tool repair.​
2. Diagnose, repair, clean, and maintain.
3. Contact vendors, obtain quotes, and order parts.
4. Security - Best locks.​
5. Code, pin, cut keys, install, diagnose problems, and repair.
6. Contact vendors, obtain quotes,and order parts.
7. Maintain district plumbing/electrical and HVAC needs.
8. Assist maintenance supervisor with general maintenance, remodeling, and renovation work.
9. Monitor district buildings through the use of computer monitors and phone systems. On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
10. Assist grounds crew and transportation.
11. Maintain a high level of professionalism with all district staff.
12. Ensure custodial efficiency through hands-on help and product awareness.
13. Complete all assignments designated by the maintenance supervisor.
14. Communicate daily about problems and job schedules with the maintenance supervisor.
15. Maintain a high level of safety and efficiency.
16. Ascertain district needs and make recommendations for implementing new projects.
17. Be able to lift 50 lbs.
18. Other duties as assigned.

​The position is typically Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
