**What were looking for:**

The Turnaround and Construction Coordinator is responsible for the for the oversight and successful execution of Turnaround and construction projects in the IVOG Lake Charles (occasional support may be requested for other Intermediate Chemicals assets). This position will consult with engineering for feasibility and constructability review, bid preparation and the project scope of work per the construction package, owning field productivity of all contractors and Indorama associates associated with the project execution.

**What will be expected from you?**

+ Responsible for Construction schedule/execution plan/constructability input

+ Oversees and manages contractor(s) construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, environmental guidelines, quality assurance programs and construction safety programs.

+ Monitor/Report Man-hours to Project Managers

+ Monitor/Report Progress to Project Managers

+ Field walks with Contractors during bid process

+ Responsible for construction efficiency.

+ Monitors and tracks construction schedule and progress and ensures overall project schedule compliance.

+ Coordinate material (field/shop/etc.) and equipment to minimize any inefficiencies during the construction phase.

+ Coordinate permitting and make-ready process.

+ Construction bid package development - ensures all work is captured to avoid change orders.

+ Coordinates with start-up managers and engineers to facilitate start-up of the project in accordance with plant performance expectations. Ensures efficient turnover of plant to operations and maintenance staff and coordinates with the operations and maintenance staff.

+ Work in conjunction with the turnaround group to facilitate the execution of turnarounds.

+ Review of Field Change Orders and work with PM for approval

+ Coordinate any fabrication.

+ Provide input for T&M /hard money decisions.

+ Provide drawing comments/ mark-ups to drafting.

+ Review construction package with Project Team

+ Perform site inspections for quality control.

+ Ensure all personnel have a safe working environment and follow the agreed upon safety standards and procedures.

+ Conduct daily safety field observations and interventions.

+ Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs)

+ Provide input to project weekly and monthly construction progress reports. Participate in regular contractor construction meetings.

+ Attend project engineering status meetings, as requested.

+ Provides necessary coordination and acts as liaison to transition from plant startup and commissioning to plant operations.

+ Ensure that the activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality, and responsible care requirements).

+ Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.

+ Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.

+ Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

+ Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company required training programs.

**What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?**

+ HS Diploma or Equiv AND Minimum of 5 years of experience working in turnarounds, construction, maintenance or operations at a refinery or petrochemical facility.

+ Previous experience in field construction, pipefitting, and/or welding

+ Experience managing or leading construction projects.

+ MUST HAVE or be able to obtain TWIC card.

+ Must have a level of proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email and Microsoft Office programs.

+ Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.

+ Knowledge of project cost and scheduling control

+ Able to monitor contractors QA/QC performance.

+ Must possess knowledge and understanding of environmental requirements, construction practices/techniques, construction contracting and project controls and scheduling.

+ Strong knowledge of engineering and construction standards, materials, and companies/vendors processes.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of industry safety standards and applicable laws.

+ Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and project plans.

+ Detailed knowledge of environmental and safety matters as they relate to the refining/chemical/petrochemical industry.

+ Must be detail oriented and analytical.

+ Self-starter with proven leadership abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities.

+ Ability to align with the strategic direction of the company.

+ Demonstrated project management skills.

+ Strong negotiation skills.

+ Team player with demonstrated ability to influence and manage a team to get results.

+ Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
