Position: Heavy Equipment Operator
Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Various job sites in Kamloops and surrounding areas, BC
Hourly Wage: $36.60

Requirements:
Completion of an apprenticeship program or college/industry courses in heavy equipment operation with on-the-job training
Previous experience operating heavy machinery in excavation, civil, or demolition settings (preferred)
Completion of secondary school
Good command of English
Physically capable of working in demanding outdoor environments
Familiarity with workplace safety practices and protocols

Duties:
Operate various types of heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, loaders) for earthmoving and related construction activities
Perform all aspects of site preparation, including land clearing, utility trenching, road/pad building, and new utility infrastructure installation
Efficiently interpret construction drawings and understand material conditioning basics
Operate different types of compaction equipment with various materials
Load, move, and unload materials using heavy machinery
Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, fueling, and cleaning
