DEA is dedicated to a revenue generating survey team that utilizes tools that allow us to be a leader in traditional and specialty surveying services including mobile and static laser scanning, sUAS/drones surveys and hydrographic surveys. The Surveying and Geomatics team is seeking a Survey Project Manager in Boise, ID, Pocatello, ID, Coeur dAlene, ID, or Spokane, WA .

DEA is seeking a Survey Project Manager to join a dynamic team of professional surveyors in our Inland Northwest Idaho region. The Survey Project Manager can be located in Boise, ID, Pocatello, ID, Coeur dAlene, ID, or Spokane, WA. The primary focus of this position will be to bring excellent service to our Inland Northwest Market clients by managing and delivering exceptional quality survey projects that are on time and on budget. The Survey Project Managers duties include writing proposals, developing and managing project budgets and schedules, managing survey crews and office staff in performing control, boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveying services. Since DEA is dedicated to utilizing cutting-edge technology, the Survey Project Manager will have many conventional and geospatial tools (GPS, terrestrial laser scanning, unmanned aerial systems, mobile mapping systems, and hydrographic mapping systems) available to utilize on projects.

What Youll Do Key Responsibilities :
  • Develop tactical action plans for project and/or client pursuits
  • Develop new and maintain existing client relationships within the markets and regions we currently operate
  • Performing calculations
  • Quality control oversight
  • Coordinating with other DEA disciplines and clients
  • Directing the field and office crewmembers in the performance of their duties and mentoring and coaching them to advance within the survey profession as their individual abilities allow
What You Bring Required Qualifications :
  • Capable of self-managing projects, communicating well with clients, and mentoring junior-level staff members
  • Professional Land Surveyors License in Idaho or ability to obtain in 6 months
  • Familiarity with state and county mapping requirements
  • Strong computer skills with CAD and Land Surveying software such as Civil 3D and/or MicroStation Open Roads, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Knowledge of ITD survey standards is a plus

The posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
