HVAC Technician Help
Two (2) Temporary Full-Time employment for October 1, 2025, thru May 31, 2026
Location of Employment:
PurAir Hawaii Inc., Honolulu County, Hawaii
Job Duties:
Installation Assistance:
Site Assessment Support: Assist in evaluating the installation site to determine unit size and placement.
Unit Assembly and Mounting: Help with the assembly of AC units in the workshop and support the mounting and securing of units at the installation site.
Refrigerant and Electrical Connections: Aid in connecting refrigerant lines and assisting with electrical wiring under the guidance of lead technicians.
Ductwork and Drainage Setup: Support the installation or connection of ductwork and assist in setting up condensate drainage systems.
Repair and Maintenance Duties:
Assisting in Diagnosis and Repair: Use diagnostic tools to help identify and address system issues, replace faulty components, and manage refrigerant levels under the supervision of lead technicians.
Cleaning Tasks: Assist in cleaning air ducts, evaporator and condenser coils, and air filters to ensure system efficiency.
Inspections and Work Orders:
Inspection Assistance: Help conduct inspections to ensure proper ventilation and system performance. Troubleshooting Support: Aid in identifying and resolving issues using diagnostic tools.
Work Order Documentation: Assist in documenting completed tasks, recording parts used, and noting any issues. Help in ordering necessary replacement parts.
Workhouse and Equipment Maintenance:
Maintaining Cleanliness: Help maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse, equipment, vehicles, tools, and work sites.
Inventory Assistance: Support the organization and management of tools and parts inventory.
Tools and Equipment Needed (but not limited to):
Hand Tools: Screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pipe cutters.
Power Tools: Drills, saws, impact drivers.
Specialized Tools: gauges, manifold sets.
Diagnostic Tools: Multimeters
Cleaning Equipment: Vacuum systems, coil cleaners, air duct brushes.
Protective Gear: Safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Must have a High School/GED or foreign educational equivalent with a minimum of 12 months of experience in HVAC systems.
Term and Conditions of Employment:
Employer will offer $21.19/hr. Minimum 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9:00 am until 5:00 pm (schedule varies). Work on Saturday and Sundays may be required. Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate of pay is at least $31.8/hr. Employees will be paid 1 times their hourly rate for overtime. Workers will be paid on Friday bi-weekly. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wage due. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck as required by law.
Three-Fourth Guarantee:
The employer guarantees to offer work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
