Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager position will manage furniture, document control and small to medium sized interior and exterior projects with work spent limit of up to $3 Million per project. As a member of the Facilities team, the Project Manager will report to the Assistant Director, Facilities. This position interfaces with internal customers, various departments, permit agencies, designers, suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers as a normal function of delivering a project. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering high quality, properly functioning spaces at pre-approved budgets in compliance with College Policies and Procedures and governing agency building codes, while building and retaining solid contractor and supplier base to perform upcoming projects.
Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field required.
- Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of responsible experience in construction drafting or equivalent, and onsite multi-trade ( Sitework, Shell, Interiors, MEP) construction project required.
- High level knowledge and proficiency in the use of MS Office Programs.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills are essential.
- Expertise in CADD technology and related peripherals preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Personal computer including knowledge of Microsoft Office software, printers, calculators etc. - This position requires a background check and drug screen. - Periodic exposure to conditions in mechanical/boiler rooms, ceilings, roofs and under floor areas. - Regularly required to stand and walk. - Occasionally required to climb and stoop. - Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. - Ability to drive to off-campus locations. - Occasional irregular hours.
Hiring Range:
12 Salary/Starting salary beginning at $75,131, based on experience.
Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
