Welder and Fabricator**

**Paying $28 - $32 HR**

**Location - NE Portland, OR**

We are seeking skilled individuals for structural welding using a variety of wire sizes, with a primary focus on flux core welding. This position involves welding 1/2 inch and thicker steel in various positions ranging from 1G to 3G on mild steel. The role also includes assisting in pre-fabrication operations as needed.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Perform structural welding with a variety of wire sizes, primarily flux core.

+ Weld 1/2 inch and thicker steel in positions 1-3G on mild steel.

+ Assist in pre-fabrication operations when required.

+ Execute full layout and fitting of structural assemblies according to blueprints and welding symbols.

+ Verify layout with quality checks and collaborate with the welding team to complete job sections.

**Qualifications:**

+ WABO, AWS, and 3G certifications are advantageous but not required.

+ Welders must pass a 1/2 inch plate test in 3G.

+ Fitters and Leads must pass a 1/2 inch plate test in 1G and demonstrate proficiency in reading and laying out drawings.

**Environment/ Shift:**

+ Our work environment is based in a local shop that handles structural projects and supports national operations for structural conveying systems used in mining. The facility includes a 100,000 square foot AISC-Certified Manufacturing Center in Portland, Oregon, with complete fabrication, sandblasting, and painting capabilities. Our 10-acre campus features a state-of-the-art computer drafting and modeling department. **Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
