Expected pay for this position is $30.92 - $46.15/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Preconstruction & Project Manager will provide comprehensive preconstruction services, including estimating, scheduling, value engineering, risk management, bid solicitation, and subcontractor outreach/procurement on multiple large-scale commercial construction projects. This will involve collaboration with owners, architects, and Pointcore team members. This individual will oversee the research of market conditions, historical cost data, price building materials, and labor, work on material quantifications and scopes, bid solicitations, and schedule planning. This individual will also be expected to provide a detailed review of design plans and specifications on projects for a wide range of institutional clients. This role is also responsible for the overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from guaranteed maximum price (GMP) approval through project closeout. The Preconstruction & Project Manager will lead construction projects and maintain positive and effective working relationships with both internal and external members of the project team.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
- Licensure/ Certification: Active state driver's license
Other Skills/Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to plan, organize, and make effective decisions within each scope of work.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to develop variance summaries between estimates and value engineering studies throughout the preconstruction process.
- Knowledge and understanding of unit costs and the factors that affect construction costs.
- Knowledge of quantity takeoff software (OST, Destini, etc.).
- Knowledge of design software (Revit, Sketch Up, AutoCAD, etc.) for preconstruction.
- Knowledge of document control software (Bluebeam).
- Knowledge of bidding software programs (Building Connected, iSqFt, etc.).
- Knowledge and understanding of unit costs and the factors that affect construction costs.
- Knowledge of cost management software (VISTA, CMiC, etc.).
- Knowledge of scheduling software (Microsoft Project, P3/6, Asta, etc.).
- Knowledge of construction document management software (Procore, CMiC, Plan Grid, etc.).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Completion of a relevant internship or 1 year of experience in construction, preconstruction, or project management.
- Completion of the OSHA 10-hour training.
- Licensure/ Certification: Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC)
