Press Operator**

**Job Description**

As a Form Press Operator, you will have a thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery, specifically Hot Forming Press Brake and Sheetmetal Forming. You will be responsible for maintaining knowledge of processes and equipment, improving production efficiency, troubleshooting production problems, and keeping track of inventory. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate hot forming machine, which heats titanium sheet metal to 1400 degrees and uses 30,000 tons of pressure to form products.

+ Maintain and improve production efficiency and troubleshoot production problems.

+ Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

+ Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

+ Work with other department leads to ensure schedule adherence.

+ Keep track of inventory and obtain quotes when needed.

**Essential Skills**

+ 4 years of prior manufacturing experience.

+ Experience in sheet metal forming.

+ Knowledge of production operations and machinery.

+ Ability to read and interpret mold drawings.

+ Proficiency in PC skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Ability to communicate concisely: verbally, in writing, and with sketches or technical drawings.

+ Good interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with all plant personnel.

+ Professional demeanor and willingness to work overtime, holiday schedules, and weekends if required.

+ Self-starter mindset and excellent attendance record.

**Work Environment**

Work in a clean aerospace manufacturing facility alongside machines operating at 1300-1400 Degree Fahrenheit. Currently, the department comprises two employees.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
