Forklift Operator**
**Job Description**
Join our team as a 1st Shift Forklift Operator, where you will be responsible for operating sit-down gas forklifts. Your role will involve moving recycling materials and garbage within the facility, operating skid steers and balers (if you have prior experience), and performing general preventative maintenance on forklift equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate sit-down gas forklifts.
+ Stack and move recycling materials and garbage.
+ Transport materials throughout the facility and empty full containers.
+ Perform general preventative maintenance on forklift equipment.
+ Work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
+ Contribute to various tasks around the facility as required.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2-5 years of forklift operating experience.
+ Experience in material handling and loading.
+ Ability to perform heavy lifting (50lbs+).
+ Experience with heavy equipment, skid steers, and loaders.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 1+ year of small equipment operating experience.
+ General labor and picking skills.

**Work Environment**
Work on the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, starting at 4 am until the end of the day, usually around 1:30 or 2 pm. Occasional Saturdays may be required, and Saturdays after a holiday are mandatory. The facility is located in Madison, WI, and allows employees to sign up for as much overtime as they desire. Expect a dynamic environment that can be dirty, hot, and loud, as it involves working around garbage.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
