We have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Mechanic to join our team in Tupelo!

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for servicing, modifying, rebuilding, and repairing industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC equipment in accordance with applicable codes, technical documentation, and safety regulations. Performs periodic inspections to identify potential equipment issues and prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems. Interprets and works from schematics. Sets and adjusts controls. Overhauls equipment as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Troubleshoots and repairs industrial machinery, including conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, motors, hydraulic presses, and HVAC equipment.
  • Reads and applies electrical and hydraulic schematics to perform diagnostics and repairs.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs hydraulic and pneumatic systems including valves, cylinders, hoses, and pumps.
  • Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains electrical systems including motors, sensors, relays, and control panels.
  • Performs periodic inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Performs minor fabrication and welding tasks in support of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assists with the installation or modification of equipment and supporting infrastructure.
  • Completes maintenance documentation and equipment service records as required.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
  • May perform facility utility maintenance such as compressed air, water, or process plumbing systems.
  • May participate in operating and identifying issues with Digital Controls or basic PLC systems.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications

  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, military class 'C' school or Military Occupation Specialty (MOS), and five or more years of progressive experience as an apprentice plumber or HVAC mechanic. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must have knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, hydraulic circuits, electrical control systems, and HVAC equipment.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and apply mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and HVAC schematics and documentation.
  • Must have working knowledge of safely operating hand and power tools.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record verified by the DMV
  • Ability to perform diagnostics and repairs using technical manuals and schematics
  • Interpersonal skills to work with employees, vendors, and contractors
