Production Supervisor**
**Job Description**
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing resources and providing direction in the assigned production area. This includes daily assignment of team duties, maintaining compliance with work instructions and specifications, adhering to the production schedule, and ensuring accuracy of data recorded on production sheets and in the local ERP system. You may also address technical issues related to equipment, processes, tooling, and manufacturing of products.
**Responsibilities**
+ Delegate work assignments and match responsibilities to individuals.
+ Set expectations, monitor delegated activities, and provide recognition for results.
+ Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently and organize tasks for others.
+ Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and develop alternative solutions.
+ Supervise production personnel, including staffing, training, scheduling, performance, and discipline.
+ Support new hire onboarding process and enforce company policies and regulations.
+ Maintain facility cleanliness and ensure a safe work environment.
+ Assist in preparation of team member performance reviews.
+ Monitor work area for neatness and organization of tools, materials, and paperwork.
+ Ensure accuracy in material transaction of input materials, work in process, scrap, and finished goods.
+ Report all labor documentation, assign hourly efficiencies, and monitor production runs.
+ Ensure accurate completion of all production documentation and paperwork.
+ Maintain KANBAN quantities for the Pull system.
+ Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions in compliance with ISO standards.
+ Ensure employees meet standards for quality, productivity, record keeping, housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and safety.
+ Perform first piece and in-line inspection of materials as needed.
+ Accurately use measuring equipment such as micrometers.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in production, lean manufacturing, and value stream mapping.
+ Experience with ISO standards, KANBAN, and ERP systems.
+ Ability to lead a production team and meet production goals.
+ Guidance on company policy and standards.
+ Completion of documentation and work in ERP systems.
+ Continuous improvement and Kaizen.
+ Mechanical inclination.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Business or technical training or experience desired.
+ Minimum of 2 years work experience, with at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience in a regulated industry such as medical, food, aerospace, or automotive is preferred.
+ Prior supervisory training is preferred.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
+ Ability to utilize and navigate ERP systems.
