Multi-craft Maintenance Technician Job Description As a Multi-craft Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance within our facility. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of our machines and systems, contributing significantly to our production process. Responsibilities Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting on machinery. Perform repairs and preventative maintenance tasks. Change out motors and repair or replace gearboxes, pumps, belts, and bearings. Follow a preventative maintenance schedule diligently. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, wires, and cabling. Essential Skills Proficient in electrical systems and troubleshooting. Experience in preventive maintenance of machinery. Familiarity with AC/DC systems, VFDs, and working with 480 volts. Ability to use a multimeter effectively. Experience with Siemens systems and SAP. Competency in wiring and electrical maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Ability to work night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. Willingness to train on day shifts Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our facility is not climate-controlled, so candidates should have experience working in similar environments. This position is part of an expansion and will be located in a new building equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, though it will not be climate-controlled either. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, Alabama. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
