We have an immediate opening for an Apprentice Plumber! This position will work directly with a licensed plumber & gain hours on a Chicago Plumbing Apprentice License. What We Have to Offer / Benefits : Medical insurance with 3 plan options including HSA Dental & vision insurance 5 Paid vacation days (40 hours) after 6 months; 10 days after 1 year (80 hours) 5 Paid sick days 6 Paid holidays 401K with 3% company match Short / Long-term disability insurance Life insurance Tool assistance Growth and advancement opportunities Company paid training and continuing education Employee appreciation events - 2 per year Team events Position : Apprentice Plumber Work Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm, some Saturdays as needed on a voluntary basis Pay : $50,000 - $75,000 / year depending on experience + monthly bonuses What You Will Be Doing / Troubleshooting and Maintenance : Perform tasks including drain clearing, cleaning, rodding, and jetting Handle issues related to water heaters (gas, electric, tankless), sump pumps, ejector pumps, gas lines, bathroom fixtures, low water pressure, lack of hot water, leaking faucets, and pipes, burst pipes, garbage disposal units, and various piping Possess expertise in sewer line maintenance, which encompasses backflow prevention, repair, addressing flooding, clearing clogs, and managing backups Install fixtures and appliances as needed Execute pipe replacement utilizing a range of materials such as galvanized steel, cast iron, copper, PVC, ABS, and PEX Undertake projects involving sewer and drain line replacement Install and upkeep sump pumps Perform sump pump backups Required Qualifications : 2+ years of plumbing field experience and installation experience Plumbing Apprentice Card Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record Willing to invest in tools Follow written and verbal instructions Impeccable customer service Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment. plumber, installer, hvac, journeyman, journeyman plumber, residential service, residential, commercial, install, installation a job alert for this search Apprentice Plumbing Chicago, IL, USA
