Description for Candidates:

Perform quality repairs, modifications and fabrications on equipment, machinery, structures and high pressure vessels using advanced welding techniques.

How you will contribute:

Recordkeeping: Locate parts and materials. Provide repair estimates. Maintain accurate records of completed work.Repairs and Modifications: Weld and accurately cut metal to repair a variety of equipment. Perform precise modifications to various equipment as required to adapt equipment for special accessories.Welding: Perform certified welding on equipment, bridges, ferryboats, existing buildings and new construction and framework and high-pressure vessels. Ensure welds meet certification standards.

Ability to fabricate components to meet required specifications.Ability to maintain accurate records of work performed.Ability to perform welding on equipment and structures such as bridges, buildings or high-pressure vessels using advanced welding techniques and equipment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.Ability to safely weld in an overhead position.Knowledge of AC, DC and arc electric welding techniques.Knowledge of various materials, equipment, metallurgical properties and structural principles.Skill in providing good customer service.Skill in the operation of a variety of welding tools and equipment such as MIG, TIG, electronic and carbon arc, oxyacetylene torch, plasma torch, wire, stick and other welding equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to fabricate components, as needed, to meet required specifications.Ability to maintain accurate records of work performed.Ability to perform welding on equipment and structures such as bridges, buildings or high-pressure vessels using advanced welding techniques and equipment.Ability to read, interpret blueprints and sketches.Ability to safely weld in an overhead position.Knowledge of AC, DC, and arc electric welding techniques.Knowledge of various materials, equipment, metallurgical properties and structural principles.Skill in providing good customer service.Skill in the operation of a variety of welding tools and equipment such as MIG, TIG, electronic and carbon arc, oxyacetylene torch, plasma torch, wire, stick and other welding equipment.Valid driver's license.

Additional Considerations:

A combination of training, experience, or education in Welding, or related field desired.Welder certification.
