Compensation: $ 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Belfair Property Owners Association is seeking a First Assistant Superintendent to join our dynamic Golf Course Maintenance team. This position plays a key role in the daily operations and long-term success of our premier golf facilities. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player with a passion for excellence in turf care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of daily course maintenance activities
• Supervise and schedule maintenance crew members
• Oversee and participate in irrigation system maintenance and repairs
• Assist with fertilizer and pesticide applications and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with management to maintain course conditioning at the highest standards
• Monitor course conditions and proactively identify issues
• Support ongoing training and development of team members

Job Requirements

• Education: 2- or 4-year degree in Turf Management, Agronomy, or related field
• Licensing: South Carolina Commercial Category 3 Pesticide License (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
• Experience: Previous experience at a high-end private club preferred
• Schedule: Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and in varying weather conditions
• Language: Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required
• Physical: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
• Other: Valid driver’s license required
