Electrical Project Manager
Job Description

Our design-build electrical contractor seeks an Electrical Project Manager specialized in industrial and automotive construction projects, including both renovation and ground-up initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee the electrical construction from project inception to close-out, ensuring all aspects remain on track, within budget, and on schedule. This role involves acting as a representative, handling communication, reporting, attending project update meetings, and resolving issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Project Bidding & Proposals: Manage the full bid process including pre-bid meetings, RFIs, and assembling comprehensive proposals covering labor, materials, subcontractors, and other costs.
  • Contract & Client Management: Oversee contract negotiations, finalize scopes, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with deadlines, milestones, and staffing needs in coordination with the Superintendent.
  • Cost Control & Budget Oversight: Track and manage job costs, forecasts, and profitability; handle project budgets, hours, and expenses to ensure financial accuracy and performance.
  • Execution & Team Coordination: Collaborate with Foremen, General Foremen, and internal teams to manage submittals, subcontracts, purchase orders, and overall project execution.
  • Compliance & Communication: Ensure adherence to safety regulations (company, state, OSHA), manage stakeholder communication, and provide regular status updates and escalation as needed.
Essential Skills
  • 4 or more years of experience in electrical project management and estimating.
  • Experience with Commercial, Institutional, Automotive, and Heavy Industrial electrical projects.
  • Capable of estimates in excess of $1 million.
  • Proficiency in electrical wiring, installation, and circuit construction project management.
  • Experience with low voltage and blueprint reading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with estimating software, preferably Accu-Bid.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Work Environment

The work environment includes a start time of 6/7am with 50-55 hours per week. You will report to the Operations Manager and work alongside a team of 125 employees, including 70 Electricians and Field Techs, 12 General Foremen, 6 Project Managers, and 3-4 Estimators. You will have your own desk, phone, and laptop in a team environment that fosters a strong family feel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $58.00/hr.
