Description

CNC Machinists, Grinder Machine Operators, and Assemblers needed for Manufacturer in Torrington, CT!

Pay: $19-23/hr, based on experience

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm

Machine Operator Duties:

Operating CNC and other manufacturing machines to produce machined parts; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies

Set up and operate grinding machines (e.g., surface, cylindrical, centerless) to grind metal and non-metal parts to specifications.

Read blues, work orders, and production schedules to determine grinding operations and required tolerances.

Performa disassembly, inspection, balancing, and testing of various machines

Planning production by studying work orders, blues, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Ensuring proper dimensions and tolerance levels for the finished product.

Measuring dimensions of the finished product to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures

Machine Operator Qualifications:

At least 3-10 years of CNC operation experience.

Ability to perform basic mathematicalputations and concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. GD&T knowledge.

Ability to use measuring equipment - calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, depth gauges, & size blocks.

Machine Operator/Qualifications:

Must be accurate, detailed oriented, and quality conscious

Excellentmunication skills
