Plumbing/Electrical Technician

The Plumbing & Electrical Technician is responsible for installing plumbing piping and fixtures on swimming pools and hot tubs and assembling, wiring and programming the equipment designed to operate them.

This position will combine successful experience working independently and in a team environment in the factory or at offsite locations as may be required from time to time.

This position will work M-F 6:00am-2:30pm

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

o Layout, assemble, and install plumbing/equipment per drawings/plans.

o Obtain materials from stock, to include any items needed for the assembly from the bill of material (BOM) listing for each job.

o Cut, prep and install PVC/CPVC piping and conduit as required.

o Install necessary plumbing fittings, including but not limited to; drain covers, hydrotherapy jets, etc.

o Mount and configure control systems and equipment components.

o Terminate electrical components per manufacture guidelines and NEC. These components will include but are not limited to; relays, switches, motors, positions sensing devices, pumps, heaters, etc.

o Successfully test each assembly to confirm proper operation, prior to shipment.

o Document assembly and testing of each job with photos and by filling out Bradford Products IAMPO checklist.

o Maintain, organize, control, inventory supplies, tools, and equipment.

o Clean and organize shop/work area.

o Other duties as assigned

This position may require overnight travel (including to domestic and international locations) with all expenses paid.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

High school diploma or GED; or 3-5 years equivalent industry work experience.

Experience with aquatics or commercial construction.

Ability to read and interpret drawing plans and/or plumbing & electrical schematics to facilitate plumbing and equipment assembly.

Possess knowledge of plumbing and electrical code.

Previous experience in pool/spa operations is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success working as a self-sufficient technician in the plumbing and electrical fields.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Must possess a valid driver's license

Safety training and OSHA certifications a plus.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is preferred, e.g., Word, Excel.
