General Laborer Job Description We are seeking machine operators for the 2nd and 3rd shifts . The role involves operating machinery, moving tubs, hand grinding, deburring parts, and working on a grinding and straightening line. Candidates will also be responsible for heat treating parts using specific procedures and equipment. You will be working either independently or with a small team to complete tasks efficiently. Responsibilities Operate machinery efficiently during the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Move tubs and perform hand grinding and deburring of parts. Conduct heat treating of parts by heating them and dipping them into a solution. Operate a grinding and straightening machine to straighten out shafts. Utilize screw conveyor/auger type machinery. Essential Skills 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial work experience preferred. Experience with machine operation. Basic math skills including addition and subtraction. Ability to be on your feet for 10-hour shifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Stable work history. Mechanical inclination for potential growth in CNC learning. Work in a job shop environment that is non-union. The 3rd shift operates Monday through Thursday with 10-hour shifts from 9 PM to 7 AM, while the 2nd shift operates from 3 PM to 1 AM . Training will take place on the 1st shift for 6-8 weeks with 8-hour shifts. Safety gear such as steel toe boots, jeans/work pants, long sleeves or t-shirts with sleeve guards, and ear and eye protection are required and provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montpelier, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.44/hr.
