Job Title: Shop Technician - Welder/Fabricator
Job Type: Full-Time Hourly / Non-Exempt

Reports To: Fabrication Shop Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

As an important member of the Wicked Weed Brewing Team, the Welder/Fabricator is responsible for following all the established safety procedures and processes for completing all day-to-day activities necessary to make high quality merchandise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining high quality standards in all areas of shop assembly and production.
Works with Supervisor, Designer, and Fabrication team to build and install small and large scale
components for 2D and 3D multifaceted displays that reflect the quality of the brand and
commercial experience.
Performs a variety of tasks using different welding applications (MIG,TIG).
Operates angle grinder, drill press, band saw, table sander, plasma cutter and other power tools.
Responsible for measuring and designing layout sketches for jobs.
Responsible for maintaining a clean, and presentable work environment.
Performs routine maintenance on relevant tools and equipment.
Must be able to work under the direction of the Facilities Manager, work independently and be self-motivated.
Responsible for ensuring that safety procedures are adhered to throughout the shop.
Willingness to assist other departments when necessary.
CNC experience preferred.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Possibility of travel required.
Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the safe operation of power tools.
Ability to take direction well, follow verbal and written instructions (SOPs), managing multiple processes at one time.
Ability to coordinate with other departments according to schedule.
Ability to work in a diverse team environment with a positive outlook and attitude.
Education and/or Experience:
Three years minimum fabrication experience.
Ability to work autonomously.
Ability to communicate via email and use excel spreadsheets, and cell phone if needed.
Efficient knowledge of specialized equipment, machinery, and operations
General knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as one would potentially have to travel at times for work.
Must be able to attain forklift certification.
Must have valid drivers license.
Ability to haul trailers preferred.
Woodshop experience preferred.
The work environment is usually that of a maintenance shop and brewery.
The work environment includes dust, metal shavings, etc.
The employee regularly works with hazardous machinery, materials, and chemicals.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time standing and/or walking.
Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb.
Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell.
Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
