The Oracle Cerner Millennium PowerChart Architect is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and optimization of the Cerner PowerChart module. This position ensures alignment with clinical and operational priorities and promotes high-quality, patient-centered care through effective EHR architecture. The Architect will lead efforts in system configuration, workflow analysis, integration, and clinical documentation enhancements, while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in healthcare informatics, Computer Science, Nursing, or a related field or minimum of seven (7) years of experience working with Cerner Millennium, specifically in PowerChart design and architecture. Deep knowledge of clinical workflows, electronic documentation, and healthcare IT standards. Proficiency with tools including CPOE, ClinDoc, Discern Rules, CCL, MPages, and PowerForms. Experience leading Cerner implementations, optimizations, or system migrations. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with trust, honesty, respect, and integrity. Manage relationships with trust, honesty, respect, and integrity. Ability to consistently provide world-class and excellent customer service. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a hospital or integrated healthcare delivery system. Cerner certification in PowerChart or related domains. Knowledge of interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and SMART on FHIR. Familiarity with patient safety and quality improvement initiatives. Experience with third-party applications common to healthcare organizations. Duties and Responsibilities: Architect scalable and clinically sound PowerChart configurations tailored to departmental needs. Collaborate cross-functionally with clinicians, IT teams, and Cerner liaisons to gather and refine requirements. Develop and maintain clinical documentation tools, workflows, and decision support rules. Design and manage integration points between PowerChart and other enterprise systems (lab, radiology, pharmacy). Ensure system configuration and documentation support compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other regulatory standards. Lead and document testing efforts across development, QA, and user environments. Provide guidance and mentorship to Cerner analysts and project teams. Monitor and incorporate Cerner roadmap enhancements relevant to PowerChart. Each caregiver is responsible for implementing SJRMC's Service Standards into their daily work: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and Stewardship Other duties as assigned Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions: Regularly on-site during scheduled shifts and quickly responsive, remote support when allowed or approved, occasional travel. Primarily office-based, frequent computer use; could involve long-term walking, standing, bending, or assisting with physical aspects of projects in clinical or administrative areas. Rounding during go-lives is common. Lifting and carrying of IT hardware and materials up to fifty (50) pounds. Participation in scheduled shift coverage and on-call support for emergencies, maintenance, and upgrades. Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and service-oriented communication in all interactions.
