SUPERVISOR:
Manager or designee.
SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintenance, care and upkeep for all Grounds and related equipment throughout the District.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages all equipment and personnel assigned. Responsible for daily operation and maintenance of assigned machine or vehicle. Follows all safety rules and regulations. [Daily, 50%]
Aerates and applies fertilizer as scheduled. [Daily, 5%]
Performs weekly maintenance of assigned sites, including mowing, weeding, edging, site cleanup and gravel playgrounds. Runs large area mower on a route. [Weekly, 25%]
Maintains knowledge of irrigation layout at all facilities. [Weekly, 5%]
Available for after-hours sweeping, sanding and snow removal as assigned. [Monthly, 5%]
Assists in landscape construction and repair, to include repair and installation of fences, both wood and chain link. [Quarterly, 5%]
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 5%]
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year experience in operation of equipment related to description.
Must have phone for emergency contact.
Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool.
Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Colorado driver's license.
Must have or obtain CDL Class A within six (6) months of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
N/A
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Extremely heavy physical lifting of over fifty (50) lbs. Items will be of various shapes and sizes.
Overhead lifting and squatting required on daily projects.
