Full-Time Contract Role
Title or Role: Engineering Draftsman
Compensation: Up to $ 40/hr. commensurate with experience
Location: West Greenwich, RI Hybrid
Length of Contract: 6+ months
Company: This is a role within the RCM Life Sciences Solution team to support projects at one of our Biotechnology clients.
Position Description: In support of lifecycle replacement projects (utilities/facilities) for building supporting systems you will develop new drawings and revise existing drawings using computer-aided design software from sketches, standards, notes, verbal instruction, and other drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Creating Technical Drawings : Producing detailed technical drawings and plans for buildings, machinery, or other structures based on specifications provided by architects, engineers, or designers.
- Using CAD Software : Utilizing computer-aided design software to create and modify drawings.
- Collaborating with Teams : Working closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure drawings meet project requirements and standards.
- Reviewing and Revising Plans : Reviewing sketches, drawings, and blueprints to ensure accuracy and making necessary revisions.
- Ensuring Compliance : Ensuring that all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Documenting Changes : Keeping detailed records of changes and updates to drawings and plans.
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in drafting, engineering, or a relevant field and at least 5 yrs of drafting experience in life sciences industry.
- Proven and accomplished drafting techniques and skills required to produce detailed drawings.
- Proficiency in CAD software, familiarity with 3D modeling tools, good math skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Detailed knowledge of industry accepted drafting standards, techniques, and practices.
- General knowledge of electrical systems and components or other industries such as mechanical systems, civil, structural, or architectural
- Ability to effectively communicate issues or directions with coworkers
- Knowledge of a drawing management system (Adept, Autodesk Vault or etc.)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
