Hiring - Commercial/Industrial Painters

Location: Mobile & Baldwin Counties

Pay: $20$25/hr (based on experience)

Were seeking a skilled Commercial & Industrial Painter to prepare and apply protective and decorative coatings on commercial and industrial structures. This role is essential for maintaining aesthetics, safety, and longevity of surfaces, working with spray, brush, and roller techniques in diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities
-Perform surface prep, cleaning, sandblasting, scraping, filling, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
-Apply coatings (paints, varnish, sealers, specialty finishes) using spray guns, rollers, and brushes
-Mix paints and pigments to match specifications; verify paint viscosity and thickness
-Read and interpret blueprints, technical specs, and work orders to determine coating types and coverage
-Maintain equipment, clean spray guns, brushes, rollers and report any malfunctions
-Conduct thorough quality inspections; perform touch-ups as needed to ensure smooth, even finishes
-Adhere strictly to safety protocols: wear proper PPE, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, follow OSHA/HazMat guidelines
-Collaborate with project teams to meet timelines and ensure minimal disruption to operations

Qualifications & Skills
-Minimum 2 years of commercial or industrial painting experience (spray, brush, coating applications)
-Proficiency with various tools: airless sprayers, spray booths, pressure pots, sanders, abrasive blasting equipment
-Strong physical stamina; comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, outdoors, and handling 50lb+ loads
-Must be able to read blueprints and follow instructions.
-Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality finishes.
-Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, HazMat), PPE use, and safe chemical handling
-Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements
-Regular ability to stand, bend, lift, climb ladders/scaffolding, and work safely at heights
-Exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, dust, noise, weather; full PPE use required.
-Maintain balance, stoop, kneel, and stand for long periods
