Job Overview
Operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, motorized road graders, front -end loaders, different types of bulldozers with winch or ripper attachments, rollers, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors, with pan or scrapper attachments, backhoes, excavators, stake bed trucks, dump trucks, tractor- trailers, water distributors, rough terrain forklifts, sweepers, bob cats, and large trenchers.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Operate heavy equipment to lift, load, haul dump, spread, grub, excavate and level, topsoil, gravel, clay, dolomite, sand, limestone, and other types of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Read and interpret grade slope stakes and simple sketches and plans.
- Rig loads for lifting.
- Use hand and arm signals to direct other operators and tie down equipment and cargo loads on stake bed trucks and flatbed trailers.
- Operate equipment for sweeping runways, taxiways, roads, parking areas, etc.
- Use portable radios to communicate with supervisors, service call desk, and airfield management.
- Perform operator maintenance and checks on equipment such as cleaning, waxing, armor-all, vacuuming, greasing, checking fluid levels, and adding as required, checking tire air pressure, checking all lights, windshield wipers, braking system, mirrors, windows, damage to vehicle, and make operator adjustments, and repairs.
- Turn vehicles into vehicle maintenance for scheduled maintenance, repairs, and safety discrepancies.
- Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.

- Timely completion and accuracy of all work.
- Working closely and harmoniously with other employees.
- Adherence to contract requirements, safety and health regulations, and company policies.
- Timely reporting of accidents, injuries, and hazardous situations.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Class A Texas driver's license.
- Three-year similar experience.
- Knowledge of concrete and asphalt.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to understand and have working knowledge of hazardous, safety, and environmental warnings.
- General knowledge of all maintenance and construction trades.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical or trade school completion
Working Conditions:
