Job Description
Design civil and environmental projects such as wastewater and stormwater treatment systems.
Perform field inspections and oversee installation of pollution control systems.
Prepare water quality permit applications.
Create detailed design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Manage permitting for stormwater, wastewater, erosion and sediment control, and general site planning (PA and/or NJ).
Support a variety of land development projects: residential, commercial, industrial, institutional.
Draft site layouts, utilities, stormwater systems, roadway infrastructure, and grading plans.
Evaluate engineering alternatives and resolve technical challenges during project execution.
Collaborate with project managers, CAD designers, and design leads to ensure quality standards.
Maintain project schedules and budgets.
Interface with clients and provide technical support.
Travel to project sites (primarily PA, NJ, and NY) as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering (Master's Degree is a plus)
6+ years in civil/environmental engineering
Proven experience in civil infrastructure projects including landfill, stormwater, wastewater, roadways, and utility planning
Experience with residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional site design projects
Professional Engineering (PE) License in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey (required)
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field sites
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience with hydrology and hydraulics design software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS)
Familiarity with PADEP & NJDEP Stormwater Management Rules, BMP Manuals, Green Infrastructure, and Chapter 105 permits
Knowledge of construction principles, permitting processes, and erosion control standards
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Technical writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Ability to manage responsibilities independently and collaboratively
