Job Description

The Town of Greene has an immediate opening for a full-time Supervisor. Successful candidate will have experience with the operation of light & heavy trucks and construction equipment in a supervisory position. Supervisor is responsible for administrative, directing and coordinating the activities of the Public Works and Transfer Station departments. Works with the Foreman who oversees that the activities and projects scheduled by the supervisor get completed on a timely basis. Receives citizen inquiries or complaints and attempts to resolve the issues. Plans personnel training and records certifications. In collaboration with the Foreman, prepares bid specs for equipment and projects. Performs research to find and apply for grants according to the scope of work or equipment needed. Public Works Winter Hours are Monday Friday 6:00 am to 2:30pm . Summer hours are Monday Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm. The Town offers a competitive yearly salary of $69K to $71K depending on experience. Excellent benefits package with Medical, Dental & Life Insurance 100% paid for employee only. Employee has the option to pay a minimal fee for Income Protection and Vision Insurance. Paid vacations, personal/sick time and 12 paid holidays.
