Job Summary: DEA's is looking for aConstruction Project Managerto join our Construction Engineering Services (CES) groupin ourSalem, OR office. As the Construction Project Manager, the duties will be to serve as the owner's representative to monitor and oversee fieldwork to be performed by contractors and specialty subcontractors for our clients, as well as design project development.
Duties include:
Manage contractor conformance to plans and specifications.
Conduct contract administration functions.
Proactive in identifying issues in documents and activities and works to resolve those issues.
May act as the lead for other construction inspectors.
Interpret contract plans and specifications for roadway and bridge construction to ensure contract compliance.
Preparing for and assisting with Agency and Client audits of project documentation.
Negotiating and preparing Contract Change Orders.
Act as the representative of the Client in communications with the Contractor, public, and other interested parties.
Prepare construction schedules for design projects.
Perform constructability reviews at specific points during project design.
Managing design projects in preparation for construction.
Performing design-related tasks and project management.
Preparing construction schedules for design projects.
Performing constructability reviews at specific points during project design.
Assisting in design and/or reviewing designs for design projects.
Basic Qualifications:
Design, contract administration, or heavy construction experience with Highways, Bridges, Paving, and Utilities
Knowledge of ODOT Specifications and Construction Manual
ODOT contract administration and inspection experience is preferred
Experience with the administration of Federal aid contracts
15+ years of construction and/or design experience
Professional Engineer or Registered Geologist license
