We are seeking a Safety Manager to join our team at LACOSTA Facility Support Services. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. Your expertise will play a vital role in maintaining a safe workplace for our employees and clients.

The Safety Manager will be responsible for executing and enhancing LACOSTA's safety systems and processes within our customer site to ensure a safe working environment at our large-scale food manufacturing site. This role will focus on proactive safety measures, compliance with industry standards, and fostering a strong safety culture among all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare safety reports and documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety across all departments.
  • Provide first aid and CPR training as needed to staff members.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to occupational health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred. Skills and Competencies:

  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach to safety management.
  • Ability to lead and influence others to prioritize safety.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred Skills or Qualifications: OSHA 500 Certification
  • Hazwoper Training Completion
