Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer with 25 years of experience to join our Midtown Manhattan office. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and analysis of HVAC systems for a variety of building types, with a focus on mission-critical and healthcare projects. Youll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, code-compliant mechanical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, air and hydronic distribution, and building automation controls.
  • Perform system load calculations and evaluate design options using industry-standard engineering and energy modeling software.
  • Prepare comprehensive design documentation including basis of design reports, Revit drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure all designs meet applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Review and refine design deliverables for technical accuracy and presentation quality.
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers across disciplines to ensure cohesive project delivery.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 25 years of experience in HVAC design engineering.
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP.
  • Experience working on commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects.
  • (Note: Residential-only or commercial fit-out-only experience will not be considered.)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr.
