Purpose:
The Dickinson School of Business invites applications for a part-time professor who can teach construction management courses at the undergraduate level on campus Primary teaching responsibilities include one or more of the following courses: CNST 3013 Plans Analysis, CNST 3113 Construction Management, CNST 3213 Mechanical and Electrical Systems for Buildings, CNST 3313 Construction Project Management, and CNST 4023 Construction Estimating Course descriptions may be found in the university's catalog: bitly40AZVYD
Essential Functions:
Prepare and distribute syllabi according to university policy
Organize and direct learning experiences with assigned classes as outlined in the course syllabus and course objectives
Keep accurate class records and submit reports and grades on time and as requested
Be available to students though designated times
Teach 1-3 construction management courses on campus
Demonstrate strong pedagogy with respect to curriculum and instruction
Assist the chair in setting student learning outcomes for the class that align with the outcomes of the construction management program
Incorporate assessment of student learning outcomes into the syllabus for reporting at the end of each course
Other Duties
Assisting with the assessment process and accreditation reporting for the sport management graduate certificate

Qualifications:
Required:
A master's degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours in construction management or closely related field
Ability to teach courses in construction management
Effective communication skills
Be proficient in office technology, office software (including various Microsoft tools), and Learning Management Software (OBU currently uses Canvas as its LMS)
Sufficient mobility and physical stamina to teach on-ground courses
Preferred:
A terminal degree (DBA or PhD) in construction management related field
Successful teaching experience at the university level and industry experience
Special Requirements:
Commitment to the vision and mission of Oklahoma Baptist University and the Paul Dickinson School of Business
Must be an active member of an evangelical* church in one's community of residence, willing to teach in accordance with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000, and in agreement with the university's policy on human sexuality (provided by HR upon request)
*Evangelical is a broad term referring to a segment within Christianity which maintains the authority of the Bible and the belief in salvation by faith in Jesus alone
