Project Engineer (Electrical)

Key Responsibilities

Project Initiation & Planning

  • Collaborate with estimating and leadership teams to define project scope and establish communication protocols.
  • Support the bidding process by reviewing RFQs, plans, and specifications to ensure clarity and accuracy of scope.

Design & Documentation

  • Design and document engineered systems including low-voltage distribution, motor control hardware, control panels, and instrumentation.
  • Perform detailed electrical and control system design, including logic validation, load and heat calculations, and UL 508A compliance.
  • Submit design packages for client approval and ensure alignment with internal quality standards.

Project Execution & Coordination

  • Manage project schedules, coordinate production, testing, delivery, and installation.
  • Release materials and equipment for procurement and fabrication.
  • Lead project meetings and resolve technical, scope, and budget-related issues.
  • Partner with the Engineering Manager and accounting team to support billing and Schedule of Values (SOV) processes.

Project Closeout & Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee project closeout activities including punch list resolution and final deliverables.
  • Conduct sessions and share feedback to improve future project execution and recognize team contributions.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE preferred) or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of electrical and instrumentation design and coordination experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
