The Facilities Supervisor is an individual who is responsible for overseeing an organizations facilities, overseeing equipment maintenance and repair, inspecting the grounds and assisting other employees, performing minor repairs, ensuring regulatory compliance, buying new equipment, scheduling meets, and organizing operational processes.The Facility supervisor provides support to distribution maintenance operations to ensure effective asset management, energy conservation, environmental compliance, and overall facility maintenance. A Facilities Supervisor will work closely with the Facilities Manager and others within the Facilities Management team. Every Facilities supervisor works to ensure that the operation of facilities complies with all health and safety measures, especially based on the state or professional etiquette. The facility supervisor oversees professionals operating in the field and measures their productivity based on the companys policies and goals to improve output or maximize their productivity.
Essential Job Functions:
Supervises and coordinate the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities systems.
Tracks facilities service requirements or requests and ensuring all requests are completed within established deadlines and quality standards.
Provides positive and strong leadership, that can drive productivity amongst team members and their departments.
Ensures to coach, and mentor teammates or employees
Evaluates problems and recommending comprehensive solutions to managers, including the location of resources, and the costs of those resources.
Ensures that all safety procedures are followed, and that safety equipment is available and in good condition at all times.
Supervises the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment, including hiring contractors for major projects and operations.
Monitors equipment and machinery to ensure that they are in good working order.
Evaluates each workers performance to ensure quality operations regularly.
Assists in the management and supervision of contractors working at the facility.
Ensures the companys building infrastructure works efficiently, such as the cooling and heating, electricity, and water systems.
Maintains facilities and records to ensure compliance with company standards and all federal, state, and local regulatory agencies or bodies.
Manages projects, risk assessments, schedules medical gas shutdowns, electrical shutdowns, water shutdowns, mechanical shutdowns.
Evaluates building appearance and conditions for all of Altru Health System's properties.
Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
